Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE)

Apollo Tyres SA (Pty) Ltd. supports the intent and purpose of BBBEE whilst striving to ensure that equitable opportunities are created and offered to predominantly historically disadvantaged South Africans in it’s pursuit of achieving the goals and targets set by the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act.
 
In this pursuit of compliance with broad based black economic empowerment, the company has contracted with various consultancies on the appropriate measures to be implemented, as published by the DTI.
 
As such the Company has already achieved level 5 status, with a score of 80% on the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Balanced Scorecard from the Codes of Good Practice.
